Your Dog's Name is...What?

Certainly we have all heard someone introduce their dog, and sometimes the only thing you can do is bite your tongue to deter yourself from giggling. There are some very funny names that people like to give their dogs. Are you one of them? Here's to some of the strangest pet names dogs have received around the world. Forget about Buddy, Molly, Max, Bella and Daisy. Prepare to have your jaw drop on the floor followed by a smirk or a little bit of a giggle --- especially if you are a culprit.

Banfield Pet Hospital released some of their top client names. It's truly a list that you don't want to miss out on. Who needs cable now-a-days, right? You have all the entertainment needed right here in this extraordinary list. So, here we go…some rather extraordinary pet names that are for real:

So how DO you come up with an excellent pet name? Yes...we said excellent, not strangest, goofiest or funniest....Excellent. Well, unless you want your dog to be added to next year's list of the most embarrassed dogs ever, let's give our shameless little furry companions a little bit of dignity, shall we?

The first thing you should do when choosing a dog name is to get to know the animal first. One of our first dogs had her name changed one-too-many times. It went from Teacup to Princess to Jewels to Diamonds to Girlie to Diva. So, take the advice that we apparently didn't practice with our latest dog naming experience, and get to know your dog before naming it.

By doing so, you will be able to name your new pet based on their personality. Each dog has their own set of qualities and traits and it is impossible to give a name to someone you don't know yet. Mind you... we humans do it every day with our children. Weird, isn't it?

Whether you are looking to land your dog on the strangest dog name list, or want to find something unique or shocking, to each their own. We will all find enjoyment in them in one way or another. Underneath it all, is a loving furry companion that undoubtedly will be the center of your attention for many years to come.
